at first, I was curious what all the buzz was about. this phrase "moonrise kingdom" suddenly began popping up everywhere. so when I finally found out that it was a new wes anderson movie, I was ecstatic! I'm a huge fan (but really, who's not??) of his movies. I was going to try to choose a favorite, but I can't.
So last night, we went to see Moonrise Kingdom, and I had no idea what I was in for.
The theater was nice, and they served beer and wine, which was an added bonus. We got in a couple minutes late and missed part of the opening scene, which is really disappointing so I might just have to go see it again.....
At this point in the movie, I leaned over to Jim and said "This is what I want our life to be..."
I am not sure he realized how serious I was.
Dancing on the beach in my underwear to a record would make me pretty much the happiest girl ever.
This Wes Anderson movie is destined to be another one of the greats.
His brilliant color palate, smooth camera work and forever excellent soundtrack make me swoon.
The vintage dresses help too.
