the end of october was for new york!

we visited albany and oneonta to see Chuckie and Diana and Jim's parents.

 we did get a bit stuck at the end of our trip because of hurricane sandy 

but made it home eventually and everyone is safe.

all in all it was lovely to see the faces i've missed, albeit disappointing to see the same streets.

especially the platforms 

here are some of my favorites that i've 'collected' over the past few months

which era do you think they are? 

lola gets a makeover

last weekend we began the process of repainting the car! 

the san francisco salty air has been eating away at her and so Jim spent many hours sanding down the bad spots, repairing them with bondo and prepping the car to be painted. 

then we drove her to an empty parking lot in the presidio and taped off all the areas that weren't getting painted yet, the windows, and the chrome.

well, there's still more to do, but hopefully this will save Lola from the rust monsters for a little while 

duet's first pop up sale!

Last Friday, the Duet girls packed up and moved out to our first pop up sale! 

It was kind of a blast and kind of stressful, but super fun overall and I can't wait to do it again!

horse races!

Jim and I went to Golden Gate Fields for the dollar day horse races on Sunday!

It was so much fun, and I wore my "new" vintage silk horse print dress and a little straw hat!

we didn't win anything, but it was still a gorgeous day and fun time!
